Teacher Spotlight Shines Brightly on Mr. Leonhardt

For this issue of The Squire, we chose Mr. Leonhardt, Eisenhower’s very own Spanish teacher and advisor of the knot tying and hacky sack advisory clubs, as our teacher spotlight. You might see him as you pass his room and hear him yell, “no running” while you are slowly walking or, “have a good weekend” when it’s actually a Tuesday. If you have him for a class, you know he is pretty funny, can tell some great jokes, and is very knowledgeable on many different topics. However, if you don’t have him as a teacher, I highly suggest signing up for Spanish. During our interview with him we learned some great information about him, let’s get started! Keeping up with Boys Winter Sports

In the mid-season of winter sports, the basketball and wrestling teams are continuing to look forward on the rest of the season. The basketball team had a rough start, but they continue to improve and use their ability the best they can. The wrestling team is having an incredible year all around. With these thoughts in mind, The Squire sat down with senior basketball captain, Drew Williams, and sophomore wrestling captain, Cael Black, to learn more about them and their seasons. Helping and Harvesting for the Holiday Food Drive

During the holiday season, a majority of Warren County’s families spend time together over a delicious meal and dine together in celebration of Christmas and the New Year. Many people are oblivious to struggles of the individuals who cannot afford to buy food for the holiday season, but Eisenhower’s National Honor Society has taken our families in need into consideration. Over the course of the few weeks leading up to Christmas break, National Honor Society has been preparing, planning, and organizing for the annual holiday food drive. Hosted at Eisenhower Middle High School, the food drive serves to feed the families that do not have the money or resources for dinner over the holidays.  Continue reading Helping and Harvesting for the Holiday Food Drive
