Helping and Harvesting for the Holiday Food Drive

During the holiday season, a majority of Warren County’s families spend time together over a delicious meal and dine together in celebration of Christmas and the New Year. Many people are oblivious to struggles of the individuals who cannot afford to buy food for the holiday season, but Eisenhower’s National Honor Society has taken our families in need into consideration. Over the course of the few weeks leading up to Christmas break, National Honor Society has been preparing, planning, and organizing for the annual holiday food drive. Giving Back with Joy This Christmas Season

Somewhere in Honduras during late December, a young girl opens a box that changes her life. A collection of toys, hygiene items, and school supplies have been gifted to her by a kind stranger from a different country, at little cost to them. She has her first personal toothbrush, first doll, and first pair of brand new sandals. She gets to experience Christmas the same way any child in a privileged country can, thanks to a little extra thought given by someone like you! With the holiday spirit and smell of Christmas cookies in the air, they become involved in many festivities.
