Imagine sitting on your couch sipping a warm cup of hot cocoa, worrying about nothing but how fast your marshmallows are melting. Your whole family is cuddled up next you and enjoying the movie that is playing. Even through these tough times, it is important to stay in the holiday spirit, and one traditional way to achieve this is by watching classic family Christmas movies. For as long as I can remember, Christmas movies have been an extremely popular source of entertainment as the days get colder, and it is a fun activity for the entire family.
When you think of Christmas, you think of a lot of things: Santa Clause, presents, elves, and maybe even reindeer. Although those things do sound like Christmas, another important part of the holiday that comes to most people’s minds would be a Christmas tree. You know, the big tree with beautiful bulbs and bright shimmering lights. Whether you get a real or artificial tree, they are always a huge part of the Christmas season. The Squire interviewed Mrs. Dietsch, Eisenhower’s chemistry teacher, about her Christmas tree preferences.
Our December student spotlight for The Squire is Eisenhower High School junior, Macey Eyler. She is very determined and works to maintain good grades year-round. Additionally, she is involved in many activities both inside and outside of school. The Squire would like to get to know a little more about Macey, so we decided to sit down at lunch and ask her just a couple more questions.
