As Eisenhower’s Homecoming week came to a close, the students dressed up and headed to the annual Homecoming dance for “A ‘Knight’ at the Luau.” The dance took place on Saturday, September 29, 2018 in the Eisenhower Cafeteria from 7-10pm. The dance was planned, organized, and coordinated by Eisenhower’s Student Council members and advisor, Ms. Amanda Slattery, who worked tirelessly for many weeks prior to create such a great event. With the weather finally starting to get nicer, boys sports are getting into full swing. Even though the weather hasn’t cooperated, the sports still go on and the boys will try their best to play through all the weather. Some of the boys sports include baseball, trap, and track. Eisenhower’s SADD Club recently attended the Warren County SADD Conference. The conference was held at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Warren. All of Warren County’s SADD chapters are invited to this conference along with Tidioute Charter School, East Forest, and West Forest High School. Students spend the whole school day at the conference meeting new people and discussing how they can become more active in their high schools. There are four workshops to attend during the conference, along with an opening keynote speaker and a closing keynote speaker. The goal of Warren County’s SADD Conference is to educate SADD members about the dangers of their destructive decisions and the impact it has on themselves and the community.
