Warren County School District Considers Reconfiguration

As many people in the community have heard, there has been major consideration and decisions being made about reconfiguring the Warren County School District (WCSD). Over the last couple of years, it has been brought to the attention of many school officials that there is a major decrease in student enrollment and funds within WCSD. To combat these two problems, the school board has been coming up with ideas regarding how to fix it, resulting in several possibilities.

Caleb Penley Shines Brightly as Student Spotlight

     As the school year comes speeding to an end, The Squire took this opportunity to interview senior, Caleb Penley. When The Squire reached out to Penley, he didn’t hesitate to share his experiences and views on high school thus far. Being asked questions ranging from the start of his school career to the end of his time at Eisenhower, Penley gave an amazing outlook on his final year at Eisenhower.

Tips for Studying This Testing Season

     Spring is a time of many lovely things: Warmer weather, brighter days, blooming flowers, and the expectation of summer. It all makes it easier to feel happy, especially after a long, dreary winter. Just as it is a time to start feeling better, it is also a crucial season for students – its testing season. At Eisenhower, the middle level students are doing their best on the PSSAs, and the high school is preparing for all sorts of tests and exams across the classes and grades. It never hurts to be too prepared for a test, so The Squire interviewed EMHS librarian, Ms. Walter, who has taught a research and study skills class, to find out more about how to properly prepare for testing and how to get the most out of studying.
