Make it an Action Packed Summer

With good weather approaching, the hype for summer is getting serious, and senioritis is in full swing. Most students just want to get out of school and enjoy the good weather. There are plenty of summer activities to do with friends and family, especially in our local area.  All around Warren County, there are countless opportunities for hunting and fishing throughout the National Forest and Kinzua Reservoir. There is also biking and hiking throughout the National Forest with trails at Jake’s Rocks and Rim Rock. Plenty of activities to do locally just in your backyard like sports, cookouts, or swimming. Or in your woods behind your house like hunting, trapping and shed hunting. The Squire asked outdoor enthusiast and senior, Willy Hoffman, about how he has an action packed summer. Springing Into Promposals

With prom comes tough decisions about the perfect dress, perfect hair, but most importantly promposals. Promposals have started within the last decade and become more popular and more creative each year. They range from simple signs to asking with an animal. Some even have flash mobs. A promposal is a way of asking someone to prom in which a guy or girl creates a sign which could include a pun such as, “I know this is cheesy, prom?” and then for example, gives that special someone a pizza. In some cases, they don’t make a sign but instead they ask with cars, people, or even at sporting events on the scoreboard. Kelly Glotz takes Student Spotlight by Storm

The spotlight is shining on Kelly Glotz for this issue of the Squire News.  Although it might not be obvious at first, Kelly has become one of Eisenhower’s ambitious students. In fact, this semester, Kelly has been a busy senior who skips his own lunch just to help the journalism program. He is a team player who would rather see the team have a good time, than to win.
