Around the end of May every year, the students of EHS excitedly look forward to attending prom. Many girls are always wondering what hairstyle they want in order to look their best on the big day. Before deciding which hairstyle to choose, it might be necessary to first pick out your dress. Choosing a dress is the most crucial part about prom, and it might help inspire your hair style. Next, you need to think about what suits your personality. Consider what will be the most comfortable hairstyle for you during prom. Then, you will be ready to officially decide the best way to wear your hair. Prom is one of the most memorable nights for a high school senior, so make it worth it by having the perfect hair and dress style.
Choosing the right hairstyle is very important; your hairstyle should complement your dress and work around the accessories. The top most popular hairstyles of all time for prom are the messy up do, half up/half down, the classic prom up do, and curly long hair worn down. Waves are a stunningly dramatic way to wear your hair as well.
There are so many different ways to style your hair when wearing it wavy. The Squire interviewed Taylor West and Sarah West, senior girls and Squire staff members, about their favorite wave-inspired hair styles. Taylor shared, “I like wearing my hair curly and down because my hair isn’t that long, so I like to show off my curls.” It is common for many girls to prefer to wear their hair down because they like to show off the length of their hair. Sarah explained that she prefers not to wear hair accessories to prom, saying, “No, I feel like wearing accessories in my hair is too much, so I don’t usually put anything in it.” Whether you choose to wear accessories or not all depends on the type of person you are and the style you are trying to show off.
Prom is a special event, so it is a great opportunity to have your hair professionally done. If you get your hair done by a stylist, you have a better chance of liking it more because they know what they’re doing and you can provide a picture as inspiration for your style. I highly suggest going to Hebners in Sugar Grove, because I have gone there for the past three years and always am impressed with how my hair turns out.
Hair seems to be a major factor when it comes time for prom because nobody wants their hair to look bad for their special night. If you select a simple style with only a few steps, it limits the possibility of things going wrong. There is also a higher chance of your hair turning out the way you want it. Choosing a hairstyle for prom can be stressful, but if you have an idea of what you want, it makes things easier. Once you have the perfect hairstyle, you will be ready to dance the night away.
