Fall Sports Face Challenges Due to Covid

     Due to Covid, this year’s fall sports are going to be a little different compared to previous years. There have been multiple changes to rules and how athletics typically occur. Adjusting to changes has been tough for parents and athletes and has also caused a giant headache for our athletic director here at Eisenhower. Athletic Director, Mr. Penley, has done a great job so far, but has also faced many challenges.

Adjusting to COVID-19 Changes at School

     Coming back to school this fall, there are plenty of changes to get used to. From wearing masks, to the QR code sign outs, the way we handle everyday tasks at Eisenhower is changing. Luckily for students, teachers have been working hard to make this transition easier for all of us. The Squire interviewed chemistry teacher, Mrs. Dietsch, and senior, Jacob Williams, to get their input on this year’s changes.

Climbing into Archery Season

     Hunters across Pennsylvania are itching to climb into a tree stand on a nice cold morning. Archery season in Pennsylvania opened October 3 statewide. Many hunters have been preparing for the past several months to be as prepared as they can be and hopefully have the opportunity to harvest the buck of a lifetime. If you are a hunter or interested in hunting archery this year, you may find yourself asking, “How can I score a big buck this fall?” Here at The Squire we wondered the same thing and set out to find the answer.
