     While this year everyone has been wanting to leave the house and do anything but stay inside, the holiday season has people very excited. The pandemic is not the only thing anyone travelling for the holidays must be careful about; they should also be sure their car is winter ready.  As the holiday season approaches, along with it comes the harsh winter weather. With all the sudden weather changes and wanting to get out, there is danger of driving during this time. You cannot always know what is going on with your vehicle and how to properly operate it, but winterizing your vehicle is a good way to help yourself during the winter months, to improve your safety, and keep your vehicle in good condition against the harsh weather.

Choosing a Real Christmas Tree

     When you think of Christmas, you think of a lot of things: Santa Clause, presents, elves, and maybe even reindeer. Although those things do sound like Christmas, another important part of the holiday that comes to most people‚Äôs minds would be a Christmas tree. You know, the big tree with beautiful bulbs and bright shimmering lights. Whether you get a real or artificial tree, they are always a huge part of the Christmas season. The Squire interviewed Mrs. Dietsch, Eisenhower’s chemistry  teacher, about her Christmas tree preferences.

Shopping Local This Christmas

     With Covid-19 cases rising, it is important to avoid going to crowded places. This can be especially difficult when it comes to holiday shopping, as all the major shopping centers are in the cities where everyone goes to shop. Instead of shopping in crowded stores this year, it is a smart idea to shop locally. From local online boutiques to family run stores, there are plenty of options to fulfill your shopping needs. The Squire interviewed Eisenhower High School freshmen, Julia Gesing, to hear her opinions on local shopping.
