Some of you may know our student spotlight as our 2016 homecoming queen, but she is much more than that. This issue’s student spotlight is Eisenhower High School senior, Emily Bailey. Along with being our homecoming queen, she is very involved within our school. Emily is the vice president in Eisenhower’s student council. She also plays volleyball for EHS and has raced motocross for 11 years. The Squire sat down with Emily Bailey to get to know more about her.
The Squire: What extracurricular activities are you involved in?
Emily Bailey: I’m involved in volleyball, motocross, and student council.
TS: What are your plans for the future?
EB: I don’t think about the future, I live in the moment. Just kidding! I plan to attend college to become a physical therapist assistant.
TS: If you were an animal, what would you be and why?
EB: I would be a zebra because they are two colors and can run really fast. They are black and white, and those are the best colors.
TS: How is your senior year going so far?
EB: Never better.
TS: What do you do in your free time?
EB: I go to Tim Hortons, hang out with friends, and work out.
TS: What will you miss most about high school?
EB: I will miss seeing my classmates every day.
TS:If you had a super power what would it be and why?
EB:In the fantastic four, that guy that stretches because I’m short and I just want to grow.
TS:What are some of your favorite foods?
EB: I like spaghetti, chicken wings and Chinese.
TS:What is your favorite TV show and why?
EB: That 70s Show because it is funny.
Emily is a good student, athlete, and friend overall. Even being involved in so many different activities, she still has time to hang with her friends and have fun. If you see Emily in the hall, make sure to say hello. Good luck in your future, Emily!
