The competition was fierce at this year’s EES/EMHS talent show. With a huge group of participants, twenty one acts in total, much of the scoring came right down to the wire. In the Elementary category Delana Smith placed third with a gymnastics floor routine, Drew Mandeville placed second performing a monologue, and Bryceton Wilkens brought down the house dancing to “Can’t Stop the Feeling” by Justin Timberlake. In the Middle/Senior High competition, third place was claimed by Mikayla Allen, Nicole Hitchcock, and Mikayla Peters, who sang and danced to “Sad Song” by We The Kings. Coming in second was Haylee Irvin, who sang “Just the Way You Are” by Bruno Mars. Finally, in first place came Mikki Gifford and Naomi Haight, who took second in last years competition, who sang and played guitar to “The Middle” by Jimmy Eat World. With the amount of young talent who competed this year, we’re sure to see the Talent Show tradition continue on next fall!
