With winter sports having ended, the season of spring sports is upon us. Baseball, softball, and track season have begun for many student athletes here at EMHS. All three sports have already had their first games/meets of the season, with some being postponed due to weather conflicts.
A few years ago, the Supreme Court decided college athletes are able to get paid for their Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL). Prior to this ruling, players were not allowed to be given any money from anyone associated with the college. If they did receive money, both the athlete and school could face consequences. Recently, NIL has become controversial in college sports for many reasons.
Over the past few months, a team of Eisenhower students have gathered their ideas and art supplies to come together with Youngsville students to create new logos and designs for the upcoming school year. However, many questions have sprouted due to these meetings.
