With the Valentine’s season coming up, it’s a perfect time to break out your comfy clothes and put on some romcoms. There are many movies to choose from, whether you want a romantic comedy, or just a plain old Valentine’s themed movie, there will always be one for you. This article will be diving into the best romcoms and Valentine’s Day movies released.
Each person has a different view on their favorite movies, but collectively, most can agree on what makes a good romcom. When The Squire interviewed Izzy Grosch, she revealed that a good romcom is created when it has funny and romantic elements that make the viewer comfortable by watching the movie, which many people could agree with.
Some viewers may choose to go to the theater when a movie comes out, but there are many different streaming platforms that allow viewers to stay in the comfort of their own home to watch their favorite movies. The Squire interviewed Izzy Grosch about her preference for watching her favorite romcoms. She shared that she prefers to watch them in the comfort of her own home, and by doing so she enjoys the movie better overall.
Many streaming platforms have a list of their top romcoms and Valentine’s themed movies they offer. According to Hulu, some of their best movies include Love, Simon, The Wedding Planner, and Valentine’s Day. Netflix also has a list of some of their best romcoms, including, Anyone But You, Marry Me, and To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before.
The Squire questioned Izzy Grosch about what her top romcoms would be if she had to choose. She answered with her list, and it included 10 Thing I Hate About You, Holiday, and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. She shared that she enjoys these movies because of the actors and the plot that matches the “requirements” she stated for a good romcom.
Many people can agree that Valentine’s Day is the perfect time for new or nostalgic romantic comedies. Whether you want a good laugh, a true love tale, or if you’re watching for the plot or the actors, there will always be a romcom for the right occasion.
