Student Spotlight Highlights Katie Bunk

By: Drew Mandeville

With the school year starting, The Squire interviewed senior Katie Bunk for the first of our student spotlights of the year. Bunk is very involved at Eisenhower as she is a member of the girls soccer team, track team, Key Club, bowling, and National Honors Society. She supports other Eisenhower sports in the student section and bleeds blue and gold.

The Squire interviewed Bunk to gain some insight on her experiences at Eisenhower.

The Squire: What are you looking forward to in your final year of High School?

Katie: I’m looking forward to enjoying the time I get to spend with my friends before we all go our separate ways.

TS: What are your plans post-high school?

Katie: I plan to go to college, get a degree in professional flight, then become a commercial airline pilot. I would also like to have a few cats along the way too.

TS: What at Eisenhower has prepared you the most for college?

Katie: I feel that Eisenhower has prepared me for college by being unpredictable. There are completely different things going on each day at Eisenhower.

TS: What’s your favorite memory from high school?

Katie: My favorite memory has to be any that I make with my friends, whether we’re goofing off or participating in class events.

TS: What’s some advice you would give to younger students?

Katie: Participate in activities, don’t drink the water, and do your math homework!!!

With the end of her high school career, Bunk looks to graduate with much academic and athletic success. The Squire would like to thank Bunk for sharing and wishes her luck with her senior year and what will come after.
