There are several outstanding students here at Eisenhower, but this issue’s spotlight turns to senior, Emily Grosch. Grosch is positively recognized for her hard work and dedication to academics, while being a multi-sport athlete. She participates in cross country, track, and soccer, qualifying for multiple districts meets, as well as playoff games throughout her high school career. She is involved in school clubs and shows her school spirit through organizations such as Student Council, National Honor Society, and Key Club. These clubs allow her to voluntarily give back to the Eisenhower community and bring positivity to the school.
The Squire took the time to ask Grosch a few questions to get to know her better:
The Squire: What do you like to do in your free time outside of school?
Emily Grosch: Outside of school, I like to run and spend time with my friends and family.
TS: What are your plans after high school?
EG: My plans after school are to go to college for marketing and potentially run in college. Right now, I am not sure what college I will be attending.
TS: What is your favorite thing about the sports you play?
EG: Becoming close and building friendships with not only girls in my grade but girls in the grades below me.
TS: How have the sports you played impacted your high school career?
EG: The sports I have played have given me so many new relationships and have definitely taught me time management skills with dealing with multiple sports in a season.
TS: What have been some of your favorite memories here at Eisenhower?
EG: My favorite memories at Eisenhower are the ones spent with my teams during track meets or soccer games. I also like being on Student Council and all the fun activities we plan and put on.
TS: What has been the most challenging part of high school?
EG: The most challenging part of high school would be learning to keep up with schoolwork while also playing multiple sports.
TS: What is your least favorite part about being a senior?
EG: My least favorite thing is the stress behind trying to figure out where I am going to college and filling out all the applications.
TS: What advice do you have for younger students?
EG: My advice for younger students would be to work super hard and stay on top of things but enjoy your time and don’t stress too much because time flies by.
TS: What are your goals for yourself in the future?
EG: My goals for myself are to work really hard in college and become successful with my career but to also have the best time in college and meet new people.
Grosch is an inspiring all-around student at Eisenhower as she stays on top of her academics, sports, and self-motivated goals. The Squire would like to thank Grosch for taking the time to answer these questions for everyone to get to know her better. We wish you the best of luck for your future, and congratulations on all your current and future achievements!
