Spirit Week Shoots to the Top

As the month is almost over, homecoming week flew by. Last week’s spirit week had many fun activities, complete with different crazy outfits each day: Monday was Neon Day, Tuesday- was Dress like Your Type Day/Twin Day, Wednesday was Country vs. Country Club Day, Thursday was Color Wars Day, and Friday was Blue and Gold Day.

Monday was a bright day for everyone, filled with all neon colors, happy faces, and lots of photos. Neon day was perfect to kick off spirit week, since Mrs. Lobdell, the advisor of Student Council, had her students busy all week planning and decorating for homecoming to fit the theme for Light up The Knight.

Tuesday was a day filled with imposters. Everyone had to dress up as someone they would date, or they could be twins with someone. Many people chose the first theme, and the school spirit really shined through. As it was one day closer to homecoming, B and C lunches were busy with Homecoming ticket sales and students making plans for the big night.

Wednesday was Country vs. Country Club; some students were driving fancy cars, while others were riding fancy horses. Some wore cowboy hats, and some wore golf caps, but, with both being equally amazing, the school was filled with cowboys and golfers, showing just how good their school spirit can be.

Thursday was Color Wars, which involved every class from ninth through twelve being assigned a designated color: Freshmen wore black, Sophomores wore white, Juniors wore Pink, and Seniors wore blue. As the halls were filled with colors of all kinds, the final winners of color wars was Miss Livingston’s senior English class. They showed out the representation for their class dress in all in blue, from head to toe.

Friday was Blue and Gold day, and the halls were full of students and faculty and staff dressed in their best Eisenhower gear. Many people who had their wild school spirit for the day showed it even more on Friday night at the Homecoming football game against Cochranton, which was a shutout game, 27-0, and one more win in the books for Eisenhower Knights football team.

As the week came and went, it was a very fun and wild experience for all the students and staff.  We would like to thank Eisenhower’s Student Council for putting on such a great week of activities for everyone to enjoy.
