This fall The Squire interviewed Eisenhower senior, Jaydon Chase. As a member of the EHS football team, Jaydon plays fullback, defensive end, and is currently holding down the middle linebacker spot for fellow senior Ryan Chambers as he recovers from an injury. Jaydon is a crucial player for his team, propelling the team from both sides of the ball. Keep reading to find out more about Jaydon Chase.
The Squire: What is your favorite high school memory?
Jaydon: My favorite high school memory is on the basketball bus during the first round of playoffs. Kris [Bunk] was up dancing for some reason, and he ended up getting sick and throwing up. I have another one that is a close second, my freshman year when the football team went undefeated.
TS: You mention athletics, are you satisfied with your athletic career?
Jaydon: You can never be satisfied.
TS: For your final year of high school, what are you looking forward to and why?
Jaydon: I’m really looking forward to graduating & pursuing my education elsewhere.
TS: What motivates you to succeed and why?
Jaydon: I’m motivated by my coaches and family, and most of the time my teammates. It motivates me because I would like to be the best leader for my teammates.
TS: What are your plans after high school?
Jaydon: My plans are to enter a trade, move out west, and live on a lake house in the mountains.
TS: What activities do you in your free time, and what’s your favorite?
Jaydon: I like to hang out with my friends, play video games with the guys, and watch football.
TS: What’s the best lesson you’ve learned in your four years at Eisenhower and why?
Jaydon: The best lesson I’ve learned is that you must focus on the positives, and even in the negatives there’s some positive. This lesson can go with any endeavor in your life.
TS: What made you want to start playing sports?
Jaydon: Me and my sister would play various sports in our yard. It was our way to bond.
The Squire would like to thank you Jaydon for helping to provide this great insight to you as a team captain, leader, and senior. Next time you go to the Pasture of Pain, make sure to watch out for number six; you won’t be disappointed.
