Many important details must be planned when it comes to preparing for prom. One of the most important is where to eat before the big dance. Picking a place to eat before prom is hard, because it can be pricey and things may go wrong if you pick the wrong place.
This year’s prom is in Frewsburg, New York, which is a small town northeast of EHS. Frewsburg is around 25 minutes away, depending on where you live, which makes it a tough decision as students decide where and when to eat, due to prom being a bit of a drive from EHS. It might be tougher to eat at local restaurants and it might be necessary to eat at an earlier time, which means getting ready for the big night even earlier.
When searching for a place to eat before prom, there are three main things to keep in mind. First, and most importantly, the taste of the food. Another important aspect of picking where to go is the price of the food. Many high schoolers do not have high-paying jobs, so going somewhere affordable is a must. The last important aspect is convenience; you are going to want to go somewhere near the venue to allow for time to get to the event on time.
There are very few options right near the event. There is a pizza shop called The Frewsburger that is a good place for quick and inexpensive food. There are also a few sit-down restaurants, but they are not very formal, if that’s what you are looking for.
The Squire interviewed senior Kris Bunk, asking where he was going to eat prior to prom. Bunk suggested that Ribs and Bones in North Warren or Harbor Hotel in Chautauqua are some good options and are most likely where he will be spending his time before prom. He also stated that one of the challenges of having prom in Frewsburg, New York, is that there are not a lot of good options close to the venue.
Bunk was also asked about the challenges of staying on budget for the prom dinner. Bunk explained that you should know your budget and choose a restaurant based on that.
After the big dance, you are going to be hungry and be looking for a late-night bite to eat. With places closed for the night, visiting Sheetz in Warren is a great option for quick food and plenty of snack options.
When picking a restaurant before prom, just remember to pick somewhere both parties like, and enjoy yourself. The Squire hopes you consider going to the places stated above, and that you have a great time at prom.
