Have you ever wondered what the best pizza in Warren County is? Well, The Squire is here to answer that question for you, so next time you get pizza you aren’t disappointed. The Squire went to five different pizza places and talked to the students and staff at Eisenhower to come to the conclusion about what the best pizza in the area is.
To start researching the topic, the newspaper staff put a poll on The Squire’s Instagram to see what the public thinks the best pizza place is, and learn more about what the students of Eisenhower prefer. The poll on Instagram resulted in our followers choosing Napoli’s as the best pizza in Warren. Napoli’s is based in North Warren and can be found in the plaza of the former Warren Mall. The Bucket, in Sugar Grove, came in as a close second. When freshmen EHS student, Rever Caudill, was interviewed, he said that the cheese on The Bucket’s pizza is what made it stand out.
The Squire went around to different pizza places around the Warren area and compared Napolis and The Bucket, finding that the pizza from both Napoli’s and The Bucket are neck and neck, but the environment at The Bucket lacks. Despite the delicious pizza, one of the major flaws of The Bucket is the bad lighting and smell of smoke throughout the restaurant.
When The Squire went to all the pizza places, we rated the pizzas out of 25 points. Five points for the sauce, five for the cheese, five for the pepperoni, and then ten points for the crust. The Squire also rated the environment of the restaurant out of ten points.
Coming in last place is Pizza Hut. The cheese was not the best quality, the sauce lacked any kind of flavor, and the crust was average. So, we gave the cheese a one out of five, and the sauce a two out of five. We gave the pepperoni a three out of five, as it was the best part of the pizza. The crust was just average, so The Squire gave it a four out of 10. The final pizza score comes to a 10 out of 25.
Coming in the number four slot is Little Caesar’s. The cheese is very plain, but it was not bad, so it earned a three out of five. The sauce was more flavorful than Pizza Hut, so we gave it three out of five. The pepperoni was average, with a two out of five, while the crust was pretty good, with a six out of 10. The final score for Little Caesar’s pizza is 14 out of 25.
Coming in third place is Domino’s pizza. The crust was fantastic, because of the garlic powered salt seasonings on the crust, so we gave it an eight out of 10, because the crust could have been fresher. The sauce could be described as average, resulting in a three out of five. The pepperoni is pretty good, so we gave it a three out of five. Lastly, the cheese was also just ok, earning it a three out of five. Domino’s final score came it at 17 out of 25.
Last, but not least, Napoli’s and The Bucket both tied with scores of 22 out of 25. Both are very good, but Napoli’s environment is more inviting than The Bucket. Another great option, rather than dining in, is to order take out from The Bucket. Some other benefits to Napoli’s include the more enjoyable environment and the fact that they do deliver, making them a great option for dining in, take out, or delivery.
After much research, The Squire recommends Napoli’s for all of your pizza needs. Try it out during winter break and let us know if you agree with our review.
