The leaves changing colors and the air getting cooler, Americans look forward to one thing during this time of year. That one thing is NFL football on Thursday nights, Sunday afternoons and evenings, also Monday nights. The NFL is in its 105th season and many fans are excited for the rest of the season. The rankings are changing weekly, and teams are striving for one goal – the Lombardi Trophy that is received after winning the Super Bowl.

As of week three in the NFL season per ESPN rankings, the Miami Dolphins are leading the way at 3-0. The San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, also have undefeated records currently. Right behind those undefeated teams are 13 two win and one loss teams. Leading them is the Pittsburgh Steelers and Kansas City Chiefs.

Current league leaders for stats are always up for grabs on who is the top dog. For passing, Kirk Cousins leads the NFL with 1,075 yards. Rushing yards are led by Christian McCaffrey with 353 yards. Justin Jefferson leads the way in the receiving category with 458 yards receiving. Tyreek Hill is close behind him with 412 yards receiving. Sack leaders consist of T.J. Watt with 6.0 sacks and Myles Garrett with 4.5 sacks.

The Squire sat down with major NFL fan, Johnny Palmieri, to get his input on the NFL. When asked who his favorite team is, Johnny replied with, “Pittsburgh Steelers are my team; I have been a fan for my whole life of 17 years.” “The Steelers will go 9-8 this year…. making the first round of playoffs, with the Chiefs (defending Superbowl champions) as their biggest competition,” Palmieri mentioned when asked about his thoughts on the Steelers season. The Squire thanks Johnny for his input.
